Richard and Robert have just released their new album as Echo Town. This is not their first musical release though as they have been writing original pieces of music for years now.
Their first studio experience was in recording the "Butterfly Kiss" single in May 2005, a precursor to their first full length album recorded in October 2005. This was when they were part of a three piece band called "Swamp Donkey". That particular project lasted three years.
Due to the popularity of "Butterfly Kiss", Richard and Robert plan to record this song again as a special re-release in the near future.
Now as a two piece project, Echo Town has just released the album "Population: Him and Me", a collection of 8 songs written between 2005 and 2007. Recording for the album begun in February 2008. There are various reasons for the album taking so long to be released. There were many studio difficulties along the way, as well as uncontrollable delays. Now that this project is complete, Echo Town are planning to start production of a follow-up album.
Echo Town also have a number of other projects taking place at the moment. For example, Richard is planning to record a solo acoustic album demonstrating his folk and blues influences. At the same time, Robert is greatly improving his playing ability by studying various time signatures and seldom used techniques. Echo Town is incorporating all of these things into their new material and they hope to be able to make this available to the public as soon as possible.
